En route to a sixth-place finish, Jeff Gordon (No. 24
DuPont/National Guard Chevrolet) passes Tony Stewart (No. 14) who ran out of
fuel on the penultimate lap of the 300-lap event. Gordon enters the second event
of the 10-race ‘Chase’ at Dover International Speedway fifth in the point
standings, 75 behind leader Denny Hamlin.
